Everyone loves a fresh loaf of bread, right? Especially one that has pockets of garlic and cheese baked in! Sometimes I just don’t have the energy (or time) to make a yeast bread and wait for it to rise. This garlic cheese bread is an easy solution for fresh, warm, hearty bread ready to accompany tonight’s dinner. Ready to serve, start to finish, in 90 minutes.
So far, this month, we have offered you two sweet and delicious quick breads to eat, or share as gifts, heading into the holidays. During this time of year, we can inundate ourselves and our friends with sweets. Here’s an alternative quick bread you can gift to friends that’s savory and ready for them to add to their dinner!
Adapted from this recipe, it also served as a great use of leftover party platter cheese I had taken to a party the day before. If you shop at Costco, you know this cheese! It’s my go to for any party. I just chopped it up into about 1 cm bits and yes, I added 2 cups. If you looked at the original recipe, it only called for 1 cup of cheese but I doubled it. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!
Strudel and Streusel are two friends living in different cities, sharing a love of baking (and butter) through this blog. With Streusel in Denver, and Strudel in Seattle, we've found our little site to be a great way to stay in touch, share recipes we love, and talk about experiences in our respective cities.
Can’t wait to try, sounds good
