A Fruit-Filled Recap
Streusel and I like to take a moment every so often and reflect – and review – all that we’ve cooked, baked, churned, and roasted in our respective kitchens. In as much as we both love cooking and creating new recipes, I know that I sometimes also forget about some of our favorites – our old hits, if you will. I thought this might be a good opportunity to take a look back at a few of our archived favorites to reminisce (and remind us!) of desserts past, fruit-style.

Fruit Tart – I love, love, love Struesel’s “science of” series of posts, because it not only teaches me how to make something this beautiful, but why it works out!
Crepes With Strawberries, Bananas, And Chocolate Peanut Butter Sauce – because why why why wouldn’t I put some chocolate on my breakfast. Why?!
Apricot Oat Bars – This recipe is from back when Streusel was nearly outdone by her enthusiastic apricot tree, only to fight back with this delicious recipe.
Blueberry Nectarine Custard Pie – Let’s never not talk about this pie, okay? It’s sweet and tart and flakey and buttery and delicious, and may be why my partner wanted to get married (a guaranteed lifetime supply of pie is a good enough reason to me, too!)
Naan and Spicy Fruit Chutney – Streusel put together a sweet/savory appetizer with this recipe (and got to use up some of those previously mentioned apricots).
Cherry Fruit Roll-Ups – Because I’m a grown-up who likes seasonal, organic kid foods (can you tell I live in Seattle?!).
