Mint Chip Ice Cream
I got a new toy, just in time for summer!
This is what she looks like (I bought it online for 25 bucks, it was refurbished model)
The recipe is really, really straightforward. Mix up some milk, cream, sugar, and peppermint extract
You’ll put this mixture into the ice cream maker, wait about 20-25 minutes, and then add your chocolate (as an aside, I love chopping chocolate. It’s so satisfying!)
After another 5 minutes, you have ice cream. Ice cream, people. Delicious, creamy, refreshing ice cream.
Amazing.
Mint Chip Ice Cream
recipe from Cuisinart
1 cup whole milk
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 cups heavy cream, well chilled
1-1 1/2 teaspoons pure peppermint extract
4 ounces chopped chocolate (I used dark chocolate)
In a medium bowl, use a hand mixer or whisk to combine the milk and granulated sugar until the sugar is dissolved, about 1-2 minutes on low speed. Stir in the heavy cream and peppermint extract. Turn machine on, pour mixture into freezer bowl through ingredient spout and let mix until thickened, about 20-25 minutes. Add the chocolate and mix for another 5 minutes.
