Roasted Brussels Sprouts
Wow! I didn’t think I liked Brussels Sprouts until I ate these.
I had always had the frozen variety with a little butter. Not good…Not bad.
Big thanks to my man, Steve, for this one. He roasted brussels sprouts and they were FABULOUS!
I quickly shared the love and made them for my friend Carrie. Here they are…
Ingredients
4 or 5 cups of Brussels sprouts
1/2 c. olive oil
5 cloves garlic, pressed
sea salt and white pepper to taste
Clean, trim and half the brussels sprouts and place in a large bowl.
Heat the olive oil, garlic, sea salt and pepper in a small saucepan.
Once the garlic is sizzling, drizzle the oil over the brussel sprouts.
Toss and spread cut side down on a large baking stone or cookie sheet.
Bake at 400 degrees fahrenheit for 20 to 25 minutes.
I left the outer leaves on and they fell off during roasting and turned into a wonderfully crisp little chip. The garlic bits were crunchy too! Molto buono!
Serve immediately.
Recognize that bread? I served these next to turkey and swiss spent grain bread grilled sandwiches. That bread grilled up perfectly!
