Look at these beautiful strawberries tossed with chocolate mint.
Red is bold and vibrant…
Like on your lips or the door of a house or a lone barn in a field!
You might be asking, “What the heck does this have to do with food?”
Well, I asked myself, “Why exactly do I like the color red?” and the more I thought about it the more I realized I like it because in nature, especially food, red is so beautiful and comes in so many shades…
The deep red of bing cherries or a glass of Malbec!
I got inspiration for this look at red because my dad (a jeweler who works with predominately turquoise) shared with me a book called the Art of Turquoise. It’s a pictorial look at the color turquoise and even if you don’t like the color turquoise or the use of turquoise in jewelry this book is a fabulous coffee table book and does a great job of showcasing this great color!
So here’s a little red showcase of our own.
Take a peek at some of our own and others red recipes and pictures that highlight this beautiful color!June 25, 2012
